:: 2011 Season Wrap Up ::

Well folks...another season, another possible dynasty in the making. Congratulations to the Dawgs for a fine tournament performance, surfing through the battles undefeated, upsetting the top-seeded Corduroy Riddlers 12-11, scoring the game winning run in the bottom of the 7th. Honorable mention to the 3rd place Skeleton Crew and 4th place Nads for strong tournament efforts as well.

Special thanks to Cathy, Barb, Willie and Scooley for working hard all weekend and providing the league with top notch food, drinks and service. Kudos as well to those people who helped with the field set up, the daily tear downs of the fields, the packing and unpacking of the items and last but not least...not providing any (much) drama!

Tournament Highlights:
- Cory Hartman's home-run in the championship to give the Dawgs the lead.

- Bobbie, from Corduroy, knocking a hard grounder down in the finals with his head and then coming back in the game without missing a pitch.

- Jim Friesen's 2-hitter vs the Sexpos in their 13-1 romp.

- The 'out of bounds while running' rule discrepancy (to be added to the clarification rules)

- The Franchise matching their regular season win total in the tournament and losing a tight battle on Saturday to top seeded Corduroy.

The 2011 tournament results are posted. Hopefully everything is right. I'm sure if it isn't, someone will let me know!
