Well, Week 8 came in with a new a maximum runs per inning rule (dropping from 7 to 5) and a test was run for the day to see how it affects the timing of each game. As expected, it didn't have an impact on the outcomes of the games themselves, but we saw an amazing effect on the start time of each game - on time! The 2:30p started at ... shockingly, 2:30p. And actually, the 1:00p game finished at 2:15p, so it gave people a chance to socialize, relax, get things in order and the likes and still start on time! I for one, agree to this change, but it's still under review.
