So, week 2 came in and another sunny week brought out lots of ball, lots of sun and plenty of action.
The day started off well for the Dawgs as they found their bats against Seymour Results. Seymour struggled against the Dawgs right field defense all day, fearing to hit the ball anywhere near that area. It showed on the scoreboard.
Game 2 was a nailbiter as the Sexpos broke out to a 10-6 league heading into the bottom of the 7th where the Riddlers, almost fully stocked with their own team this week (save one Dawg) scratched back with 3 and stranded the tying run on base.
Game 3 featured a true donnybrook as the 4-time champion Skeleton Crew hooked up against the sophomore Aces. Back and forth it went, with some stellar fielding and great hitting, the Crew put another W on the board with a 15-9 win, dropping the upstart Aces to 0-2.
The mid-afternooner featured the Franchise and the Marvels. Again, another tight battle, but the Marvels managed to step through and pull out the win, bumping their record to 2-0. The Franchise, after two close battles in two weeks, dropped to 0-2.
And finally the closer brought yet another battle as the Kids and Nads went toe to toe. Big Frank dropped in a round-tripper to the delight of the Kids supporters, but in the end, it just wasn't enough as the resurgent Nads climb to 2-0 while the fan friendly Kids fall to 0-2.
The standings and stats are updated as well.
