Well, Week 10 was a modified schedule weekend as the Kids were unable to field a team, resulting in an automatic forfeit to the Nads.
That forfeit bumped the Nads up to 7-3, keeping them in the hunt for the Regular Season title. The Kids' record falls to 1-10 for the year.
In the opener, the Dawgs and Seymour Results squared off and the Dawgs sneaked away with a 9-7 win to improve their record to 6-4, sitting only one game back in the loss column of the league leaders. Seymour falls to 0-10.
In the late morning game, the upstart Franchise looked to continue their quality play of late as they took on the defending playoff champs, VC Marvels. A battle is was the the Franchise fought back to take a 9-7 lead midway through the 6th, only to have the Marvels drop a 5-spot right back on them to finalize the scoring in a 12-9 win for the Marvels - who move into a logjam atop the standings at 8-3. The Franchise fall back to 4-7.
The early afternoon game had two giants from the standings square off in a rematch from week 2 where the Skeleton Crew had taken down the Aces 15-9. The Aces went on to win their next 7 games since that loss and have rocketed up the standings. The Crew, owners of 1st place via tiebreakers fell to the Aces 14-7 this time around and that result vaulted the Aces to the top of the standings, 1/2 game ahead of three teams, including the Crew.
The final game of the day featured the Riddlers and the Sexpos. The Sexpos were in need of a win to keep pace atop the standings, while the Riddlers continued to fight for playoff positioning. The Riddlers started out hot, dropping a 4 spot on the Sexpos to kickstart the 1st and followed that up with solid pitching and defense. They never looked back and took down the Sexpos 11-4. It may appear the Riddlers have found their new pitcher. The Sexpos fall to 7-3, while the Riddlers jump to 4-6.
