This week we have a few items of interest:
1. Double headers are back this week (see Updated Schedule below)
2. We have another forfeit, but we'll be making use of that game time (4:00p) to host the annual Venus vs Mars game.
3. Yes, some teams are going to ump a fair bit this weekend. Please review your teams umping duties and ensure you have it covered (See Updated Schedule below)
VENUS vs MARS
For those new to the league or uninitiated with the game - it's a battle of the sexes...Male vs Female...Innie versus Outie - but with a twist. Girls make all the rules (within some level of reason). Guys, as per norm, tuck their tails and accept whatever that rule it (play laying down, gloves on wrong hands, switch hit, bat with a triangular bat, etc.).
So, even if you're playing the early game this weekend, find a way to stick around or come back and join in the fun at 4p. It's supposed to be gorgeous this weekend, so work on that tan.
As well, after the Venus/Mars game, please stick around to help do tear down, clean up and drop off. This would have been covered by the Aces/Kids, but due to the forfeit, it is not. Since the FBL is a fantastic community, I would appreciate the league coming together to get this done this week.
