:: 2017 - Almost Here ::

Well, the final managers meeting was held last night and we accomplished a lot. A few key highlights for those players in the league are noted below, but the Week 1 schedule is officially released and please note you game time, and any duties your team is responsible for. And also remember - no concession stand this year, so come prepared and ensure you're discreet if you are enjoying any adult beverages (cozies, plastic cups, etc.). And clean up after yourself!

Updates: We have a new storage facility that we'll be keeping our concession stand items and the league equipment in for the foreseeable future. Your manager will share with you the location and details. It's in the 13th/Granville area - so pretty handy.

Our league is now less than 2 weeks away from starting, and yes, that's earlier than ever before. This allows us to try and get our first 18-game schedule in along with double headers happening on most weeks.

 We had prematurely announced a partnership with a local brewery, but that agreement has since been severed.

Some rule changes, updates and clarifications have been documented for the upcoming season. Please take some time and review the league rules so you can adhere to them during the season, take advantage of them and also avoid having someone else take advantage of you through the rules. The key rule updates:
Batting - coaches will continue to have the option of batting 10 players only or batting everyone; details of this rule have been updated in Rule 14 on the Rules Page.
Pinch Running - the key change to this rule is no pinch runners from home plate. See Rule 8. Other rules have been updated and noted, please review the Rules for more information.

 Stay tuned for details on the upcoming 2017 SPFK Inter-League Challenge Cup! This is going to be a battle between the FBL and the Sunday Funday league in June, with proceeds going to Make A Wish. We are going to need players, so please make yourself available for June 17th and get yourself registered as soon as you can (registration should start this week).
