Well, after much sorting, reordering, shuffling and more, we have a finalized schedule for the 2017 season. Please ensure you have the latest version (v4) which is available on the Schedule, iSchedule and IE Users pages. There is also a downloadable PDF version available on these pages as well.
Please note a few items that are different than years past:
1. We are splitting our year between our regular FBL field at Queen Elizabeth Elementary and University Hill Elementary school. Starting June 18th, we'll be exclusively at U-Hill for the remainder of the season while the QE field undergoes a complete overhaul to the irrigation system. Fingers crossed it'll be done in time for next year.
2. We have another week at U-Hill on May 28th due to a scheduling conflict. Reminders will be sent out in advance to that week.
3. We have brought in the 18-game schedule where the league is now set up so that all teams will play each other twice, thus balancing the schedule. Please check to see the weeks that your team is required to play a double header. All double headers will be back to back games so teams are required to sit around waiting to play their second game.
4. Umpiring duties have changed slightly as well due to the increase in games and having multiple games at the same time. Some games will require a team to provide two umpires (ie. Franchise (2) means that the Franchise provides two umps for that game, whereas "Sexpos / Dawgs" would mean one ump is required from both the Sexpos and the Dawgs.
5. Our league duties have been streamlined due to the elimination of the weekly concession stand. The team required to do the morning equipment pick up will collect the league gear bag and the bathroom materials (buckets, cleaning materials, etc.). That same team will be responsible for setting up the field for play while the team noted to do "Bathroom Set up" will be required to set up the bathrooms areas before the games begin. The team noted to do Equipment drop off will take all items (equipment bag and bathroom materials) back to the storage facility. The team noted to do bathroom 'tear down' will be responsible for taking the bathrooms down, cleaning the items and packing them up and providing them to the team doing the equipment drop off.
